One thing I practice in the parking lot on my motorcycle is U-turns. Being comfortable with U-turns is a really good skill to have when riding motorcycles. When practicing U-turns on a motorcycle, you have to look where you want to eventually go. Not necessarily the direction you are going. So, for example, when, doing a U-turn, you have to turn your head and look behind you while the bike is still going straight and then you do the U-turn while looking behind you. But practicing in a parking lot is a little different than doing a U-turn out on the road. One day while riding, I took a wrong turn and ended up on somewhat of a narrow road. So I started doing a U-turn, but instead of turning my head and looking behind me, where I wanted to go, I saw a ditch(which usually isn’t in a parking lot). As I was doing the U-turn, I kept looking at the ditch when really, I should’ve been looking at the road where I wanted to go. When I realized I was headed for the ditch I quickly corrected and looked at the road where I wanted to go. Maybe next time, that road is the place I should practice my U-turns.
